Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction
In collaboration with the Amateur Astronomical Club of Sparta "Dioskouroi", an internet connection was made with the University of Athens Observatory at the Department of Physics of NKUA, from where a live image transmission of the rare phenomenon of the Jupiter-Saturn conjuction took place. Dr. Kosmas Gazeas after the completion of the observation gave a speech to explain the phenomenon. The audience interacted by commenting, impressing and asking questions live. World Space Week - WSW 2020
"Planets In Your Hand" team participated in World Space Week 2020, by posting educational material on social media, during the whole event. Each day an astronomical photograph, accompanied by information about the depicted celestial body, was a motive for the public to interact with the team members and to celebrate space and planetary exploration.

Penumbral lunar eclipse - 10 January 2020
The first eclipse for 2020 occurred on Friday, 10 January 2020 and it was a penumbral lunar eclipse, which prompted an open event to be held on the same day at the University of Athens Observatory - UOAO at the Physics Department of NKUA between 19:00 to 22:00. During the event all visitors had the opportunity to participate on the lunar observations and photography, as well as to attend short educational talks about the eclipse phenomena. In addition, the exhibition “Planets In Your Hand” was presented to the people who visited the Physics department and the laboratory of the University of Athens Observatory - UOAO, and watched the rare astronomical phenomenon.
